Rob Lowe, Rashida Jones Exiting NBC’S Parks And Recreation

Say goodbye to Chris and Ann. Actors Rob Lowe and Rashida Jones are preparing to leave one of NBC’s last bastions of comedy, Parks and Rec.

Don’t worry though, we literally still have some time left with the on-again, off-again couple. The two are expected to stick it out until at least the 13th episode of the upcoming season. I’m assuming this has something to do with their current plotline, in which the two are attempting to have a baby, which will no doubt lead to their relationship starting back up.

After the exit, Jones is off to concentrate on her and partner, Will McCormack’s freshly inked development deal with Warner Bros. Television, where they’ll be creating projects for both cable and network television. Meanwhile, Lowe will continue to work like crazy, following up his recent role in HBO’s Liberace biopic with a role in Nat Geo’s upcoming Killing Kennedy adaptation.

The series is currently filming it’s one-hour premiere, which will kick off on September 26 followed by back-to-back episodes of the new comedy The Michael J. Fox Show.
